Free Tools for a blogger

I'm an amateur blogger, and for that I need to use applications freeware. Below the list of applications that use and find indispensable:

  • WordPress : The application that manages the blog. My favorite;
  • FastStone Capture : I started using recently, but I felt great for screen capture (screenshot);
  • Notepad + + or PSPad : I'm still in doubt between these two text editors with support for programming languages. I use both;
  • Serif PhotoPlus 6.0 : image editor very similar to Photoshop, but free;
  • Inkscape : Excellent free alternative to Corel Draw. You also have the option to save images. SVG .
  • Subversion for Windows : Software that manages and tracks versions of files. Extremely most useful for those who work with programming;
  • Filezilla : FTP Client very light and full of resources;
  • Avast : Anti-virus;
  • Launchy : Application that facilitates access to programs from the Start menu;
  • Firefox : The browser you use as a standard;
  • Google :
    • Gmail : instead of using Outlook or similar, even more now that you have the option to receive email from external accounts and respond with different emails.
    • Google Desktop : Search files on your computer much faster than Windows;
    • Google Docs : An alternative to Word and Excel;
    • Google Calendar : Use as a personal agenda;
    • Google Reader : Reader feeds I use.

Note that these applications do not leave nothing to wish for you to pay.

    Good tips, Ricardo! Using most of these softwares. With respect to image editing, also use the GIMP, very good and free.

    If you want a software simpler, less powerful editing, there is a Paint.NET ( http://www.getpaint.net/ ). It's like an alternative to paint the windows, only much better. The only setback is that you have to install. NET framework from microsoft, it's free.

    Very good FireFTP. I've used a lot of time too. It's a great free option for those using Firefox.
