Firefox 3 will support offline applications

Returning to the subject discussed in the article Working Offline web applications on-line applications that can be used offline, the good news is that Firefox 3 will bring support for applications such as Gmail, Google Docs & Spreadsheets, Google Calendar, etc ...
In my opinion this is a giant step to increase the distance to the Microsoft Internet Explorer, which leaves much to be desired as a browser really efficient and diverse resources.
With the ability to use online applications, while you are disconnected, we may be moving toward a world in which all applications will be based on the Internet and a browser has the function of an operating system as we know it today.
Finally, the future awaits us.
