Comparison of GMail, Yahoo Mail and Windows Live Hotmail
The three most used webmail in the world today is Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Hotmail.
I just read a brief comparison of these three site TechCrunch and I'll do a summary of these characteristics.
I, like the authors of the original material, I prefer Gmail. This is because of the speed, ease of search, indexing + organization through tags.
Below is a comparison taken from the article:
| Gmail | Yahoo Mail | Hotmail (Live) | |
| Users | 51 million | 250 million | 228 million |
| Storage | 2.8 GB | 1GB | 2GB |
| Tags | Yes | Not | Not |

| Pop (receiving messages) | Yes | Yes | Not |
| Pop (send messages) | Yes | Yes | Not |

| Speed | The | B + | B |
(*) Gmail allows the registration of feeds (RSS and Atom), but has the characteristics of a reader like Bloglines, Google Reader ...

Gmail
Gmail has a remarkable feature that is the possibility of putting tags to organize and index for searching messages. In my opinion and in the site TechCrunch , this is one of the best points of Gmail. Another point that is very good is the ability to receive messages from other accounts, or the ability to use it in outlook, eudora, etc ... interface and simple to use, without many frills. In my opinion, the best webmail.
Windows Live Hotmail
The downside is the lack of Hotmail's POP to send and receive messages. If you want to see your messages of Outlook, you can not. Otherwise, it is the slowest among the three.
Yahoo Mail
It has the same storage capacity of Gmail and Hotmail, with only 1GB. It offers an interface very easy for the user though very full of information. It is fast and integrates RSS and Yahoo Messenger. For those who use the pop yahoo.com.br for receiving and sending messages is free. For those who use yahoo.com, you must agree to receive advertising messages.
