Comparison of GMail, Yahoo Mail and Windows Live Hotmail

The three most used webmail in the world today is Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Hotmail.

I just read a brief comparison of these three site TechCrunch and I'll do a summary of these characteristics.

I, like the authors of the original material, I prefer Gmail. This is because of the speed, ease of search, indexing + organization through tags.

Gmail

Gmail has a remarkable feature that is the possibility of putting tags to organize and index for searching messages. In my opinion and in the site TechCrunch , this is one of the best points of Gmail. Another point that is very good is the ability to receive messages from other accounts, or the ability to use it in outlook, eudora, etc ... interface and simple to use, without many frills. In my opinion, the best webmail.

Windows Live Hotmail

The downside is the lack of Hotmail's POP to send and receive messages. If you want to see your messages of Outlook, you can not. Otherwise, it is the slowest among the three.

Yahoo Mail

It has the same storage capacity of Gmail and Hotmail, with only 1GB. It offers an interface very easy for the user though very full of information. It is fast and integrates RSS and Yahoo Messenger. For those who use the pop yahoo.com.br for receiving and sending messages is free. For those who use yahoo.com, you must agree to receive advertising messages.

    Yeah, when I mean to send and receive POP I mean POP and SMTP.
    About configure Hotmail in Outlook, which it can be done is to use a feature of Outlook itself that allows mail to be viewed but not "downloaded" to your computer. That is, you can use (receiving and sending messages) Outlook, but in fact they remain on the Web and not the user's computer. So you can not view them while offline, as in the case of POP.

    Recently, following the availability of unlimited storage on Yahoo, I created an account to back up messages from my Gmail account. It would also be a test for comparing the capabilities of both services. Yahoo's behavior was disgraceful! The volume of messages I receive in my Gmail account, inserted in Yahoo, accused 'detection of unusual behavior', which made my account stay locked for 48 hours. Conclusion: What good is unlimited storage if I can not receive more than 'a pittance' of emails a day? How can I have confidence in a service that blocks my messages for no apparent reason?
