Working in offline applications on the Internet
Some time ago I began to see some applications that promise to transform web applications like Gmail, Flickr, come in many others, such as applications that can be used while the user is disconnected from the Internet, and somehow sync these applications when you go back online.
I found an interesting article on the Google Operating System that says that perhaps one of the greatest resistance to the use of web applications in relation to locally installed applications is the need for connection is active 100% of the time. I think it's a concern that tends to diminish as it keeps many users increasingly connected to the Internet most of the time they are on a computer.
In the same article he suggests a very interesting application that does the work. It is the Dojo Offline Toolkit .
Some examples of applications that can be used by him are:
- Gmail ;
- Google Docs ;
- Blogger .
He promises to make this work, even though I have not had time to test it. If you want to do it and leave a comment on your experience, thank you.
